Business Development Manager

Fenlex Corporate Services Ltd., one of the leading corporate service providers in Malta, is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager.


The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, creating, and managing business opportunities that contribute to the growth and success of the company. This involves developing and maintaining relationships with potential clients, partners, and other stakeholders.


General responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting market research to identify potential clients, industries, and trends.
  • Analysing competitive landscape and industry benchmarks.
  • Managing data on customer demographics, preferences, and needs.
  • Identifying potential clients through various channels (e.g., cold-calling, networking events, online platforms, referrals).
  • Qualifying leads based on predefined criteria.
  • Building and maintaining a pipeline of qualified leads.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Understanding client needs and objectives to tailor solutions and offerings accordingly.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support.
  • Preparing and delivering proposals and presentations to potential clients.
  • Negotiating terms and conditions with clients, ensuring mutual benefit.
  • Working towards achieving revenue targets and sales quotas.
  • identifying potential partners, or collaborators that can enhance the company’s offerings.
  • Negotiating partnership agreements and manage ongoing relationships.
  • Identifying and evaluating opportunities for geographical or product/service expansion.
  • Developing strategies for entering new markets.
  • Providing regular reports and insights to management.

Requirements of the ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field would be considered an asset.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of the industry and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., CRM systems, Microsoft Office, analytics platforms).

Additional Skills:

  • Technical knowledge (relating to the corporate services industry)
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance
